Achever l'inachevableAchieving the Unachievable
Breaching the wall of infinity: a fusion of the tremendous perceptions of an artist and a mathematician.
In 1956, Dutch artist Maurits C. Escher defied the laws of perspective in his Print Gallery, but ran into an impossible wall… This unfinished masterpiece quickly became the most impenetrable enigma in contemporary art, for artists as for scientists alike. Half-a-century later, mathematician Hendrik Lenstra surprised everyone by bridging the gap between the artist’s perceptions and his own, thus shattering the wall of infinity!
