The Way It Is

The Way it is is a documentary about a typical Dutch farmer and his environment. Inspired by Rembrandt's paintings the filmmaker observes the farmer through the four seasons of a year. Innovative in form and touching in the way to tell a story, this film shows the day to day of the personage in his most intimate moments. A film with a lot of poetry and humour.
