The Nova Zagora Virtuosi, a group of gypsy musicians, who play on wedding-parties, has been chosen to participate in a prestigious concert in Brussels, together with internationally renowned musicians. The daily troubles, the flames of the feast, and the midnight passions unveil the mystery and the philosophy of this trying profession. A film about the Gypsy musical universe and way of life, approaching the traditions and their meaning, which are also the roots of boisterous improvisations. This film happens to be shot while values were shifting in Bulgaria, bringing conflicts among the Gypsy band, notably in transmitting their craft to their sons. It is also, most of all, a film about an art of living and the struggle for survival.
