With laughably few resources but a great deal of determination, the young Des Equilibre company put on its second show, In the Bocal... Arrêt provisoire. The gamble of the two thirtysomething directors was to produce a show in the form of a musical poem by blending several disciplines. The cast consists of two contemporary dancers, two hip-hop dancers, two breakdancers, three actors including one male and two female opera singers. This film follows the various phases in the making of this dance piece right up to the opening. Energy, anxiety, mirth and doubts are part of the subject matter of this documentary which raises the question of young theater companies in France.
