Tunisia: More than 120,000 Belgians throng here every year for sunlight, a change of scenery and rest. But behind this oasis of gentleness in fact lies one of the most shadowy of dictatorships, a regime that persecutes, imprisons and systematically tortures its opponents. In this country where the press is not welcome, the crew of Questions à la Une conducted an investigation into the hidden face of Tunisia. It also raised the question of how Europe can show indulgence towards a regime just three hours from Brussels by plane which regularly violates human rights.
