Pierre Henry is the co-founder with Pierre Schaeffer of concrete music. He is also a pioneer of electro-acoustical music, a symbiosis of “present” sounds that mingle noises, instruments, electronics and voice. His work with Maurice Béjart did much to popularize his music around the world. This film deals with his astonishing conception of the sound gesture using archive footage and on the spot reportage – a unique panorama of the famous works that punctuated his career.
