Para-Dice is as both a dance piece and a ceremony, the magical result of unfamiliar time and space, as the ritual that these four male and four female dancers engage in is a spell that possesses them. The choreographer's toss of the dice are not only meant for the dancers' bodies, they set into motion vibrations that affect the audience. For this magnetism, for the way these subtly dressed dancers excite us, for the vital energy they exude, this piece was immediately recognized as outstanding.
