One fine morning in 1988, a handful of persons decided to get together to change life in their crisis-ridden community, L'Île-Saint-Denis. A pipe dream? We shall see. But the fact remains that, whether simmering or at boiling point, the Ebullition Association has taken an interest in all local ills and fought to improve standards of living. It is political and celebratory, working in the long-term as well as in the transient. It attacks and cooperates, innovates and endures, seeking to maintain its balance on an always-fragile high wire. Several times, we have seen it get bogged down, having exhausted its resources, only to see it bounce back without warning.
