Momo

Momo lives in a circus with his grandfather, the famous clown Huberto. He loves to play around the caravans or watch Bettina, one of the acrobats. His grandfather wants him to follow in his footsteps… become a clown. But poor Momo does not like clowns… A good thing that Momo has made friends with the circus animals. They help him find out who he really is and what his role under the Big Top could be. Composer Pascal Dusapin put a lot of humour into his composition of a "little opera" for narrator and four musicians, painting a poetic picture of the mysteries of circus life and its many colourful characters. This delightful show is brought to the stage by André Wilms, who successfully blends the art of theatrical storytelling with the art of "illusion" and creates a musical fable that has its roots in childhood fantasy.
