The Congo, 30 July 2006. First ballot in the first free elections since 1964. The stakes are very high. Ten thousand candidates, including several hundred women, are standing for election. This film gives the floor to these activist women. They belong to civil society, are parliamentary or presidential candidates. They talk to us about their country's pain, its successive wars, the meaning of political commitment. Through their eyes, they tell us of the Congo today.
