The grandeur and solitude of a Mafiosa in modern-day Corsica. Sandra, who has just turn 30, is a lawyer. She is named to head a mafia-style family empire and must learn how to manage a clan which also includes "youngsters" who must be taken into account as well. Caught in the heat of action in her milieu (arms theft on a ship, diamonds stolen on a plane, drug money laundered in businesses reduced to ashes, etc.), she still remains a woman in a man's world, and a daughter in a family situation that is more complex than it appears. Sandra deals with rivals with no qualms; a legal system obliged to make concessions; a shady police captain whom she hasn't seen the last of; politicos who are fluctuating allies. She copes, seduces, manipulates, invents. She deals with a heavy legacy, and sometimes, opposite her, honest and determined men and women who make her face up to her choice for power.
