Lucinda Childs
In the 70s, the Autumn Festival in Paris introduced enthusiastic audiences to a whole generation of new American choreographers, most of whom hailed from New York. Their styles and work methods were to change the artistic and choreographic landscape of the time. Among these artists, Lucinda Childs today remains one of the dominant figures. Since the 80s, Childs has been invited all over Europe and the United States to stage and re-stage her dance pieces for the most prestigious dance companies. This is the portrait of one of the great choreographers of our day, who was also involved in all of New York’s artistic and intellectual adventures since the 60s.
