Les Raisons de la colère
The demonstrations against the French government’s CPE (First Employment Contract) twice united more than three million people across the country. This documentary looks at a mobilization that obviously incorporated many other grievances and concerns. The city of Saint-Brieuc in Brittany was the scene of impressive demonstrations, with processions that united more than half the population. Using interviews and filming the inquiry itself, this documentary analyses the motivations of demonstrators. The opinions of students, parents and workers under the threat of relocation allow us to stress the concern traversing French society today and which can be resumed thus: there today exists in France an inability to project into the future, so strong is the shared conviction that the world of tomorrow will be even harder.
