Before the collapse of the Soviet Union, the borders of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan were practically virtual. Since the fall of the empire, they came almost impassable. This film travels along these borders, trying to understand the reasons why and to learn how the people of this region live with this upheaval.
