L'Enfant volé, le 11e panchen lama
In 1995, the 11th Panchen Lama, the second spiritual authority of Tibetan Buddhism after the Dalai-Lama, was kidnapped at the age of six by the Chinese. Despite repeated calls from the Tibetan government in exile and international organizations, China remains inflexible and still refuses to provide any information on the whereabouts of the world's youngest political prisoner. Using rare archive footage and interviews, this documentary retraces the course of history, from the 1950s to present day, and demonstrates how the 11th Panchen-Lama suffered the consequences of China's oppression of the Tibetan people for more than a half-century.
