Kent Nagano dirigiert Monumente der Klassik

Kent Nagano Conducts Classical Masterpieces

Six symphonies, a great conductor and a distinguished orchestra are the main ingredients of this outstanding music documentary. Shot in HD, this performance film is itself something of a technological exploit: spectacular images, remote-controlled cameras, and crane and dolly pans draw the viewer in. At the same time, Kent Nagano shares his thoughts about the different works and their performances. Each part includes rehearsal footage as well as animated sequences that illustrate an episode from the composer's world.
Selected for the Fipatel: Richard Strauss, An Alpine Symphony, the sixth part of a six-part series. The other works: Mozart (Symphony n°41, the "Jupiter Symphony"), Beethoven (Symphony n°3, the "Eroica Symphony"), Schumann (Symphony n°3, the "Rhenish Symphony"), Brahms (Symphony n°4) and Bruckner (Symphony n°8).
