In the early 80s, an unprecedented incident took place in the Church: Pope John Paul II personally intervened to order the Society of Jesus to put an end to the “dangerous leftist excesses” of Pedro Arrupe, Father General of the Society Order at the time. 30 years later, a group of radical Jesuits continues to practice these precepts, a blend of theology, geography and life, which almost led to the termination of the Society.
