In 2005, Grupo Corpo, one of the best renowned dance companies in Brazil, completed 30 years of existence. To celebrate it, the show Onqotô was created, with music by Caetano Veloso and José Miguel Wisnik. The guideline of the film is the intimacy of the creation of Onqotô in its quotidian rehearsals. The film also shows the warmth of the reception of the group in the big world centres, where they are acclaimed as authentic ambassadors of Brazilian culture. Directors Fabio Barreto and Marcelo Santiago collected 58 hours of filmed material, in Belo Horizonte (the group’s hometown), São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, London, Paris and New York.
