A village from the north-eastern mountains of Romania. It’s endlessly snowing. A dark figure is walking in the large areas of snow. It is Maria Lucina Balahura Baez, aged 54. Born in Paraguay, she came to Madrid where she married a Romanian and has had a daughter. Following her husband, she has arrived in this Romanian village where he left her with his parents, as he went abroad to work on the black market in Spain. She cannot obtain the visa to rejoin him because there is no embassy of Paraguay and also because she doesn’t have a Romanian visa. This is the history of an exile and solitude where two women find themselves closed inside absurd borders and legislation of visas.
