El Telon de AzucarThe Sugar Curtain
I grew up in Cuba in the 70s and 80s. To me, it was a paradise, a place without tensions, problems or violence. My friends and I were pioneers, "builders of the future". Our style of life was different and harmonious. We all felt equal in a country where religion didn’t exist and where any material had no importance. I remember being very happy.
Camila Guzmán Urzúa This is a documentary about the golden age of the Cuban revolution, as seen by those who were born and grew up in it. It’s an intimate portrait about their childhood there and what happened to this generation of Cubans, whose values “collapsed” in 1989 when they become adults.
