The Reckless Dream is a personal documentary that investigates the conscience of human beings and their wish to achieve great deeds that, sometimes, can determine the course of history, deeds that turn them into captive heroes, prisoners of their own dream which leads them with pleasure to death before the concept of the 'hero', that they have so many times dreamed of, vanishes. The setting is the world of bullfighting and the characters are apprentice and retired bullfighters and dream-like images of an apprentice bullfighter – my grand uncle: Antonio Carpio 'El Maestro' who was killed in Astorga by a goring in the femoral artery at the beginning of the 20th century.
