In the region of Max in Alexandria, opposite the old lighthouse, a Greek woman in her forties lives alone in a small hut, also her sowing shop which she calls "the sea change". One day a young girl comes to see her about a wedding dress. The girl takes the opportunity to dwelve into the older woman’s past, and finds there many echoes of her own life. On the sixth day, when she discovers the secret hidden in the old lighthouse, her destiny is sealed and tied in the making of the wedding dress.
