From archive images and female voices, the historical events that have marked twentieth-century Italy are seen in "her" eyes. Decades of images (from the Sixties to today) in which women are very often the protagonists: from the first "single mothers" who prided themselves on their unmarried status, to the teenagers in miniskirts and the feminists who took to the streets to protest in the Seventies. A changing in the lifestyle: the desire for a completely new kind of beauty that would reflect a woman capable of combining emancipation with elegance. Television that moulded us, cinema that questioned us, songs that expressed our most hidden yearnings: this film investigates the modern woman's world in all its facets.
