Humiliated, scorned and defeated, the harkis have never spoken out. They fought alongside the French only to be shut up in camps behind barbed wire for 12 years. They were simply erased from the collective memory. This film relates the tragic destiny of the harkis, using documentary and fictional techniques. It is the women who bear witness: they lift the veil of silence and dare to speak. The film aims to be a labor of remembrance of a history that can illuminate History. So as not to forget.
