Irene, a repentant former ETA militant, is pardoned and released from prison. After a period spent wandering the streets of Barcelona, where she unfortunately makes a few encounters, she finally decides to go home to Bilbao. Her way home become a road movie that will allow her to flash back to her old life, previously haunted by a maniacal extremism in which death has its say. She also remembers her prison mates, all as lonely as her. Her homecoming by bus will lead to a new start, full of meetings with persons who will become good friends. The presence of nuns on the bus will help her banish the ghosts of the past and allow her to put her best foot forward in her fight for liberty.
