War'n Sie schon mal in mich verliebt?Did You Ever Fall in Love with Me ?
Max Hansen was one of the greatest entertainement stars of the Weimar Republic. With his role as waiter Leopold in the musical The White Horse Inn (1930), he achieved public acclaim. But cabaret rags and his Jewish decent restricted his career under Hitler's regime. He moved on to Scandinavia and began a new life. But he never returned to Germany. This film offers a personal portrait of a forgotten superstar and an impressing retrospection of the Weimar Republic.
