Un coin d'azur
November 1940: The story unfolds in a small hotel used by prostitutes in the old district of Marseille known as "Au coin d’azur". The hazards of war have brought together under one roof a variety of characters including Madame Méry in charge of the brothel, her young niece, a German-Jewish magician, a German writer of anti-Nazi sympathies, and a young cultural diplomat in the Vichy government. In this xenophobic climate where shady dealings abound, the city prepares itself to welcome the victor of Verdun, the Marshall Pétain. Finding themselves involved in an attack against a policeman, the characters must flee at once. But how to do so when all the stations, ports and roads are closely watched? Only a miracle can save them…
