Tras la huella de los HuachipaeriAfter the Huachipaeri's Footsteps
In the jungle, in the peruvian Amazon, we find the Huachipaeri ethnic group, members of the Queros Native Community. They were already there when the Incas emigrated from the plateau to Cuzco. Nowadays they are trying to regain their culture and traditions based on the relationship between man and jungle, man and the environment to which, without doubt, they belong. Ancient legends and dances contain a wisdom that is transmitted from parents to their children, about the use of Medical herbs, the extraction and production of materials from the Ojé tree, construction of hunting weapons... In the middle of the 21st century they live without assaulting their environment. The jungle is all they need.
