To the Ends of the Earth
It's 1812 and Edmund Talbot is on his way to Australia, aboard an outdated and decrepit wooden warship. He's young, witty, naive and all set for adventure and bravery, which is just as well because the journey is more hazardous than even Edmund could have imagined. Edmund Talbot's rich and influential godfather has secured him a Government post in Australia. The young man sets off on the tatty warship, arrogantly confident that he's ready to handle anything the voyage throws at him. Tensions grow within the close confines of the ship and the situation is worsened when the foremast is damaged. The shape of another vessel is sighted in the fog. The two ships are fastened together and passengers from each vessel introduced to each other. A ball is planned and preparations generate much excitement.
