How can the theater dramatize reality when its audience is made up the original protagonists of the history being played out on stage? The intense, cathartic, active response of the Rwandan audiences opens onto the current preoccupations of the survivors. What is life for them, 10 years after the genocide? Echoing the scenes on stage, this film gives the floor to survivors of the genocide and the realities of their present condition during this special mourning period. They express their deep resentment towards us following the abandonment and the guilty silence of the international community during the genocide, but also the exclusion, discrimination and violence they still endure.
