Rivers to the Sea
The life of Ernest Hemingway was the basic material for his work. In Europe, during First World War and Spanish civil war, he experienced events larger than life and inspiring. His relationships with women were also storybook love affairs. Among other close relatives, the director met the son of Ernest Hemingway, Patrick, who emotionally recalls, the great moments of his father's creativity, before he started gradually to lose his reason. The originality of this film is to create, out of unpublished memories, an intimate portrait of an author who influenced 20th century literature.
