Alex, the 24-year-old son of Russian immigrants, is released from prison after serving seven years for armed robbery. Before returning to his hometown and his parents, he must confront a number of questions: how can he reintegrate Israeli society as a Russian, a non-Jew and an ex-convict? Who’s going to give him a chance? Who will be his friend, love him? He wants to find a job, obtain his license as a truck-driver, move to Tel Aviv to start a new life. Alex fights against his self-destructive impulses, which until now have always got the better of him.
