Pouvoir et Télévision
Pouvoir et Télévision analyzes 40 years of relations between television news and those in power. The dangerous liaisons between these two levers of power are as old as television news itself. The relations between the powers that be and TV journalists are a reflection of French society, evolving with it. Censorship and self-censorship in the 60s, the closed years, liberalization in the 70s, the open years, tinsel and political marketing after that. This documentary series brings together numerous news players: journalists, TV news anchors, public and private televisions heads, communications advisors and politicians. With them, we retrace the history of television news since 1949. This series relates how power has switched from a policy of censorship to a policy of communications... over which it is not always in control.
