Lea is 16 and has been dancing for years. She is alone with her mother, Josiane, who lives in her memories and the hope of her husband returning. Lea is starved of a father’s love. She channels her rage into classical dance, relentlessly preparing for the entrance exams to a major dance school. Moral suffering and physical rigor feed her daily life. A maelstrom of adolescence. A body undergoing change, a deep desire for independence, but also an inner demon that drives her to put her body in danger. Lea thinks she’s carrying the weight of the world and stops eating.
