Operation Satanic

The bombing of the Rainbow Warrior in Auckland harbour New-Zealand by French secret service agents on the night of the tenth of July 1986 was called an act of war at the time. Actually it was an act of state sponsored terrorism. It was one of the defining moments of modern New Zealand and French history. Twenty years on, this unprecedented event which caused death of Greenpeace photographer Fernando Pereira, still evokes strong passions, and is still revealing its secrets. The documentary makers managed to record rare interviews where placed sources tell of the political fallout in France and New-Zealand in the aftermath of the bombing of the Rainbow Warrior.
