Mohammad Bakri visits the grave of his mentor, the late Emil Habibi, a Palestinian writer and politician, to tell him what happened since he died. In the background, the October 2000 riots, the Palestinian Intifada, the terror attacks and Israel's retaliations. Mohammad tries to continue his creative work and spread his ideas of reconciliation between Palestinians and Israelis. Two events change the course of his life: the Meron Terror Attack, in which two of his nephews were charged and convicted for aiding the terrorist; and the production and screening of his film Jenin, Jenin.The Israeli public reacted to both these events with anger and criticism. With the help of friends and after a long legal battle he succeeded in getting his film screened but this struggle left a deep scar in Mohammad's believes
