Eight year old Milja lives in Kainuu, in the north of Finland, with her mother. Her mother finds herself a new job. She shares her joy with Milja, but as she misses Milja's father, she invites him over for a visit. When her father arrives, the terror begins. In the midst of violence, Milja tries to escape her fear.
