Here we discover the industrial universe of “Metalovoice,” a street theatrical troop encompassing a variety of artistic forms. An offshoot of the first-rate group the “Tambours du Bronx,” “Metalvoice” decided to try something new by creating shows mixing literary texts with industrial percussion. In their show, Espèce H, Mémoire vivante, the band members revisit the experiences and emotions of their youth, bathed in an industrial environment. By recording the group’s reinvestment of the street with poetic and political texts–words that speak of man and his place in society–the film succeeds in bringing up to date the concept of industrial poetry.
