Médias contre tambours
Two Belgians arrive in Venezuela six months after a failed coup d’état in 2002 and discover an extremely polarized media landscape: the commercial media which are calling for the destitution of president Hugo Chavez, a public channel that on occasion acts as the President’s mouthpiece, and community medias encouraged by the government. Starting with this conflictual situation, the makers of this documentary raise questions about the hidden motives of the media, both Venezuelan and European.
