Since being elected president, two and a half years ago, Lula has turned Brazil into a vast laboratory of social, economic and political experimentation. His gamble: to inverse the course of history marked by 500 years of domination by the white elite. As in a road movie, the film retraces the itinerary of Luis Inacio da Silva and makes a discreet assessment of the president’s policies and his contradictory choices designed to both promote reforms and spare the elite.
