Les Voyages du papeThe Travels of Pope John Paul II
In 24 years of papal life, John Paul II spent a total of two years in foreign apostolic travels. No other pope journeyed as much. He logged in more than half a million miles and visited 131 countries. In a quarter-century, John Paul II left his mark on history, contributing to the fall of communism in Eastern Europe and escorting the Church into the new millennium. This pope resembled St. Francis-Xavier, preaching in the Asian territories to the point of exhaustion. The Fipatel is presenting one episode in a series of five.
