30 years after the Vietnam War, many Vietnamese families started procedures to find the bodies of their parents who died in the war, in order to repatriate them home to the North, to the land of their ancestors. This film relates the story of one such family: from office to office, from one former comrade of the deceased to another, from city to countryside, from North to South, this quest takes them through modern-day Vietnam and into the depths of memory.
