La Maladie de Charcot, une prison sans barreaux
Ineka talks about her husband, Gérard Legrand. He was a writer, journalist, adventurer, but first and foremost a lover of life. His adventures across the planet, his Henry de Monfreid-style tales for years gave birth to many vocations among young readers of a nautical magazine. Then came sickness. A neuropathic malady: Charcot’s Syndrome. But nothing could stop Gérard. Supported by many friends and celebrities, and surprising the doctors, he set off on one last sea adventure in the Pacific islands, aboard a clinic-boat. Until the end he kept going, and what he left in the hearts of people was all rhythm, movement, joy and good cheer.
