L'Hiver sous la table
The immigrant shoemaker Dragomir sets up house in the space underneath the work table of Florence Michalon, a young translator in need of cash. Their lack of privacy (his landlady’s very beautiful legs only increase Dagomir’s turmoil) will give rise to several misunderstandings where daily routine slides quickly into the unconventional. Never has there been such excitement in so cramped quarters, between the underside and the top side of a table. Roland Topor treats the theme of immigration and exclusion with much humor: his is the art of being serious in a sparkle of laughter.
