The immigrant shoemaker Dragomir sets up house in the space underneath the work table of Florence Michalon, a young translator in need of cash. Their lack of privacy (his landlady’s very beautiful legs only increase Dagomir’s turmoil) will give rise to several misunderstandings where daily routine slides quickly into the unconventional.
