The Other Half tells the story of two years of upsets, joy and suffering in the life of a couple from Peveragno, a village with 5,000 inhabitants in the province of Cuneo. After twenty years of marriage, Fulvio finally plucks up the courage to confess to his wife Marisa that he has lived 43 years of his life under a false identity because he has always felt he was a woman. The Other Half narrates the backing, patience, doubts and sentimental and mental changes undergone by Marisa who has to support and appease the obsessions, discontent and hysterical outbursts of her “unusual” husband every day.
