Julie Gayet
She stood out in Laurent Bouhnik’s Select Hotel, Ilan Duran Cohen’s La Confusion des genres and Arnaud Viard’s Clara et moi. Born into a family of surgeons outside Paris, Julie Gayet is only 33 years old and has 45 films and two children to her credit. With a good number of lead roles and many first films, she has always enjoyed taking chances. In her choice of auteur films, Gayet has explored many dramatic and comic worlds, gaining recognition as one of the most natural actors of her generation. She has maintained the same abiding passion for this changing mirror we call the cinema, but exercising her craft with all the rigor of that precocious maturity we tend to associate with women.
