This documentary deals with the making of the mural that Juan O’Gorman painted on the facade of the Central Library at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in the 1950s. With an avant-garde proposal, same as the buildings of the UNAM campus, the mural which refers to the evolution of science and teaching has become a symbol of the University. The documentary shows the painter’s conceptions in relation to his creative proposals, materials and influences, particularly that of Mexico’s ancient culture, step by step.
