Impermanence
The film is the journey of Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, who lost his freedom at the age of 15 and his own country at the age of 24 in 1959. Since then he lived as a refugee. News from his homeland were always saddening. He, however, always seems to be at peace. To overcome suffering is the perennial quest of mankind. Illusive perceptions of impermanent phenomena as permanent mislead and bring destruction. "Impermanence of phenomenon is a universal truth. We are born to die—but the basic question of life is how to overcome suffering between birth and death." Ghose tried to capture Dalai Lama's experience and wisdom to help us to better understand our society.
