Geel

Yellow

This is the story of three mental patients in the Flemish town of Geel, Belgium. Their psychiatric hospital is world famous for its system: the patients live with families in Geel. Marc has just arrived. He is to be placed with his “adoptive father,” Jef. It’s the first time Jef has taken in a patient. As for Hugo, he has been in Geel for several years and, having no more relatives, he figures he’s glad to be there. Josée isn’t happy. She opens the door of her small room to the film crew and introduces her daughter and grandson.
