Gaspard le bandit
In the 18th century, the bandit Gaspard de Besse held sway over the back roads of Provence. He was a hero for the people and a scourge for the gendarmes. This great adventurer also held sway over the fair sex. During a stagecoach attack, this Robin Hood was betrayed by one of his men. Wounded, he almost expires before the beautiful Anne de Morières, the wife of a local magistrate, his worst enemy. Once back on his feet, he resumes his activities, now assisted by his adoptive son Antoine whom he instructs in the ways of banditry. In the meantime, Gaspard will not rest until he sees his beloved again …
